The Work
Do you remember EBENEEZER SCROOGE from Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol? In the story, the complacent Scrooge is visited by three spirits – three experts – who invite Scrooge to join each of them on a journey. These encounters force Scrooge to stare unflinchingly into the gut-wrenching truth of who he has become. The journey is hard work; it cuts through a lifetime of pain and sorrow, but ultimately the process exposes Scrooge’s inner beauty and leads to a glorious transformation. Scrooge is changed, and the world around him is made a better place. THE IDEAS INSTITUTE creates the same types of experiences for people. Just like the spirits in A Christmas Carol, the “idea” of IDEAS is to invite experts across many fields to systematically invade people’s lives with essential experiences for the purpose of profound transformation. The IDEAS Institute builds these safe, transformative spaces upon its pillars: THE COLLECTIVE, THE SPEAKER SERIES, LUNA LOBOS, CURIOUS IMMERSIONS, and RESTORATION COUNSELING.
